Identity Verification Requirements This reservation was made using a corporate AWD (Avis Worldwide Discount Code) that requires validation of eligibility. Please be prepared to produce your company ID, business card, or a recent email with the company’s email domain (e.g. xyzcompany.com) for employment verification purposes when picking up your vehicle.
Please note: Avis does not accept digital driver’s licenses for rental. Please bring a hard copy of your driver’s license at the time of rental.
I was hoping to do a pick up without going to the desk but wondering if this means I have to go verify?
Thanks!
I can't comment as I don't use the Citi code, or ones that I'm not entitled to use. However, one point of caution is that even if you are able to get the vehicle without them verifying your status, you're taking a significant risk on the liability. If there is an accident, they (Avis or your 3rd party insurance) would likely then verify your rental details. If they determine you're using a code you didn't qualify for, it would be considered fraud and they could invalidate the coverage/claim and you'd be on the hook for all damages.
