Interesting, so I was actually going to apply for an AMEX Premium as it has a better AC multiplier, and the CIBC Visa stops giving bonuses after 100k. Also I'd get 2 companion passes after 25k spend on each. I'm assuming this is no longer allowed per the above?
I know some people that have the AMEX Reserve, and then keep an Aeroplan Visa Infinite as a backup since AMEX isn't accepted everywhere. Looks like that's also not allowed.
And what about if you're switching between banks? If you have > 1 card for a short period while you transition do you run afoul of the rules?
