Now I'm confused. I was under the impression that LP count as earned when the statement closes. But today I got an email from AA encouraging me to spend more money on my CC to get status, and it included the following paragraph:
As a reminder, all Loyalty Points earned from March 1, 2023 through February 29, 2024 count toward reaching status. This includes Loyalty Points earned from AAdvantage® credit card transactions, regardless of your credit card’s statement close date.
I read that as meaning that LP count based on the transaction date, not the statement closing date (as it says "regardless of your credit card's statement close date")
So now I'm not sure, but I'm leaning towards the transaction date being what counts.
