to be honest and fair to QR and OneWorld, the exceptional nature of Qatar's and BA's ultra-premium lounges is well laid out and widely promulgated.
Both carriers provide alternatives, not super-luxe, but perfectly adequate.
Maybe QR's Bangkok facility is a puzzle, but there are much nicer lounges at BKK.
Off topic for sure, but interested to know what lounges are better at BKK?
CX is very good but still a step below. Same for SQ. TG, OMAN, TK and the various Miracle lounges are good for PP but thats about the extent of it.
In fact I would be hard pressed to name an outstation J lounge with better F&B than QR BKK. Last visit I had sushi followed by filet mignon at the restaurant washed down with some very nice wines
