They get the Marriott home page right as a 1st home page, but without a Public (read: Internet-facing and potentially vulnerable) IP address, you can't see the reservation page, nor the login to see your account balance!

Not quite sure what you're talking about. I connect to reservations and MR all the time via a private IP behind a firewall. Home, work, at hotels, etc.
