You might be. But that would have to be asked in the Delta forum I believe as here is more focused on Flying Blue.
As regarding Flying Blue or KLM direct ticket purchase on DL-operated, many members reported not being offered these seats at both booking and boarding time.
I believe [MENTION=225231]Goldorak[/MENTION] recently reported having a lot of trouble getting these seats (and ultimately, (no-pun intended), not receiving them) recently in this

So, as usual, the big mess between AF and DL despite 20-25 years of wedding.
I flew 6 long haul DL-ticketed DL-operated international flights this year and was never offered C+ at anytime as FB Platinum, only preferred seats. But I find window seats at emergency exit rows (L3 or R3 doors) on A332, A333, B764 and A339 to be really great options too.
