I've seen another thread in the past on bogus fuel service charges.... a quick search (of just two pages) didn't turn it up so I'll report on this thread that Hertz provided us a receipt on return free of fueling fees (we had returned the vehicle FULL). Weeks later, we receive a letter stating that AN AUDIT found that the vehicle needed over 10 gallons of fuel, and the charge was nearly $110. We have the receipts and are disputing through amex. Amex needs to shut Hertz down for this disgusting business practice.
