By the way, Lufthansa availability (or the lack thereof) seems to be a glitch on their website. Lufthansa is known for releasing premium space within 1 month of departure. Sure enough, when I search (for example JFK-FRA for November) their calendar shows plenty availability (indicated by a blue bar at the bottom of the date box) at 63k. However, when I click on that date it says "not available". It is worthwhile to give a call to them, catch hold of an English-speaking agent and check it out.
