yes it will. i think is said so in the FAQs. also to give a recent example I had:

LGW-INN rtn in O class, £1 fare + £8 YQ, showed earning 82 avios.

POUG taken both ways for £180 total (breakdown shows £5 was tax/fee/charge). Now shows earning 1,584 avios.
