I am less worthy than some, since I let Leo Mullen drive me away for two years.
But, I came back when, and because of, USAir talking about acquiring DL. Went from highest earned status on Continental, back to negligible status on DL to do so, but I couldn't stand by if there was a risk of DL being subsumed by USScare. Token gesture, I realize. But it seemed like the correct thing to do at the time.
Sounds just like me, but Leo sent me to NWA and then merged me back. I'm 74 and retired. My guess most of the 3MM and 4MM flyers are either retired or close to it. I don't think my few leisure trips a year will really get in anyones way.
