100k is the average of 75k (Platinum) and 125k (Diamond). You are not extending DM for an additional year - you are extending your own personal status for an additional year which could be FO/GM/PM/DM. Obviously for FO/GM you would instead exchange the 100k MQM for 10k MQD instead.
