And if you return to Melbourne, where would you stay on your next visit? I'm having trouble deciding between the Marriott, W, Westin and Sheraton. I've eliminated the new Ritz. This would be my first visit to Melbourne.

The Marriott was a full buffet, and the W was a continental buffet with an a la carte menu for hot dishes. You'll find bacon at both, I'm sure.

I would say that you'll probably be happy at the Marriott, Le Meridien, Sheraton, or W. The W and LM are modern, and the Marriott and Sheraton are traditional. I would say that you should pick on price - if one of those is lower than the others, then pick that one. The W is probably worth a slight price premium, but my opinion is skewed as I was upgraded to a WOW Suite.
