I would standby on an earlier flight out of Aruba, but now I see that airport has a departure policy that sets access only within a specific window of time. ( aruba.com/us/plan-your-visit/getting-to-aruba/leaving-through-the-aruba-airport ) My flight is in the last (orange) quadrant and I would standby to to depart on a flight in the first (yellow) Aruba Airport Departure quadrant group.
What I need to know:
Anyone know if access to the American Airlines desk in the Aruba airport is restricted by this policy, preventing me from going standby on the earlier flight or does it only apply to security and beyond?
Regardless, what are my options to change to an earlier flight since American Airlines made this schedule change?
Forget about standby or anything like that. Given the schedule change just call AA and ask to be moved to the earlier flight. Will not be a problem.
