It seems to me that the game of travel industry loyalty programs is about trying to avoid the unpleasant parts of travel, and we’re left to always chase a moving target so we don’t have to have crappy travel experiences. Can we stop
the game??
More proof I am older than some of you...
Remember "more room in coach" AA heard people like you saying "oh we want more room etc" So they delivered. They went with "more room in coach" Of course that meant they had to charge more because they had fewer seats. But it would work. The American public said "oh we want more room and will pay for it" And then it's time to pull out the credit card... Oh look Delta is $10 cheaper... we don't really really need more room! American quietly did away with the program.
If Delta follows your suggestion than the "they will go out of business" scenarios on here will actually come to pass LOL! The truth is the American flyer wants all these things AND cheap airfare and when it's time to pay "cheap" always wins (How do you think Spirit is even allowed to keep flying

)
