We arrived at the airport about two hours before our flight. There was no wait for the business class check-in desk, and we were checked in and through security within ten minutes.

Vietnam Airlines has a Lotus Lounge in Da Nang's domestic terminal. This was a fine place to spend an hour, with a small but adequate food selection, including noodles. Unusually, the refrigerator was stocked with Rockstar energy drinks.





We headed to the gate for boarding around 6:20 pm. There was a separate line for business class, and we boarded a separate bus. The bus turned around, and we drove about 100 feet before stopping in front of the plane.


We boarded quickly, and business class was full, so I wasn't able to get a great photo of the seat. It was pretty comfortable but quite narrow.


The flight attendant served us a pre-departure spa water and a noodle bowl after takeoff. The only alcoholic drink option was beer. I should have taken the offered ice, as the beer was warm. The noodles were tasty.




The entertainment included aquarium footage.
As soon as we finished the meal, we began our descent. We had a quick bus trip to the baggage claim area (again, there was a separate business class bus). Our bags were out within five minutes, and we headed to our hotel.
