There are some flights like UK, they won't allow boarding if one doesn't have visitor visa or transit visa of UK. Is it same case with Aer Lingus ?
I am not able to get clear info on searching.
My advice would be to check TIMATIC. It's what the airlines use to determine your requirements - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timatic

You can access United Airlines' TIMATIC online here - https://www.united.com/en/us/timatic?i=TIMATIC

Just enter in your details there and then it will give you the requirements on screen.

You should be able to get your answer that way.
