Do I need visa to trasit from Dublin?
Hi,
I am Indian citizen, currently staying/working in US. I am looking at one flight of Aer Lingus, start from Seattle, then 3.25 hrs halt at Dublin and then next flight to Glasgow. Anyone know, if I should need visa to pass from Dublin?
There are some flights like UK, they won't allow boarding if one doesn't have visitor visa or transit visa of UK. Is it same case with Aer Lingus ?
I am not able to get clear info on searching.
Thanks

You will not need a transit visa for Dublin if your flight arrives and your onward connecting flight departs between 0400 and 1600. Yours does based on the information you have provided. You pass through flight connections and remain airside.
Of course you will need to have paperwork showing your entitlement to enter the UK. If you do not have this you will net be permitted to enter either country.

You can access United Airlines' TIMATIC online here - https://www.united.com/en/us/timatic?i=TIMATIC
Just enter in your details there and then it will give you the requirements on screen.
You should be able to get your answer that way.

My advice would be to check TIMATIC. It's what the airlines use to determine your requirements - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timatic

I have UK visitor visa, so that part is sorted. I was confused about Ireland. Checked TIMATIC website and it looks like I should not need any visa, assuming that arrive at and depart are terminal 2 as per below quote.
I just checked time also, it reaches at 11:45 AM and leave for onwards at 3:20 PM.
TWOV (Transit Without Visa):
Passengers transiting through Dublin (DUB) with a confirmed onward ticket for a flight to a third country. They must:
- arrive at and depart from Terminal 2, and
- be transiting between 04:00 and 16:00 on the same calendar day, and
- stay in the international transit area of the airport, and
- have documents required for the next destination.
