I was told (and had it confirmed multiple times) that the 20 tile perk is a one-time perk. So, if you select it today, it will give you 20 tiles immediately, and it will not give you another 20 tiles the following year. I asked what it means for the perk to be valid until 12/31/2024 and was told that it means you can select the perk anytime between now and 12/31/2024. The moment you select it, tiles are applied immediately to that current year. So, you could wait until next year to use it and then you would start the year off with 20 tiles -- but, you could not both use it this year and start next year off with 20 tiles.
