For any award, at reasonable cost if miles, need to be
*very* flexible on date and route. For your that means anywhere in USA to anywhere in Italy, or other close EU country with a train to Milan. Into Milan and out of Rome may not be available. But for example in/out of Rome or in/out of Naples maybe available. Takes perseverance.
