What if I told I flew a transpac earlier this year in economy (JL - LAX-HND)? I can assure your it was a perfectly reasonable, even comfortable, flight.

Also JL has the most spacious economy class out there for their long haul flights. You have one less seat per row and a lot more leg room. It's almost enough to make me want to try it.
