I agree with many of your points. I am flying through FRA on my way back to YVR tomorrow and although I get a (likely) final chance to fly on a 744, I am sure the novelty of it will wear off quickly with LH's poor J seat
I hope you enjoy it! I love the 744, and especially the upper deck. It’s a special and somewhat old fashioned experience. I find I sleep better on LH’s 744 seat than any other J seat I’ve been in, but their layout is not great on any of the aircraft I’ve been on (A340, A350, 744) if you’re a solo traveller.
