Hello all, I booked a flex ticket from YYZ to NRT and my friend can't travel anymore. When I log into the AC app and select cancel - it cancels both my flight and my friend's flight (charge $400 and then return the companion pass)

Is there any way to cancel my friend's ticket, pay $200 penalty, get a refund and get my companion pass back?
