I would never assert there's evidence of collusion, and my rationale is largely similar to comments already made up thread.

If you want a more perverse reason to counter any conspiracy theories, don't forget that one of the parties here got caught dumpster diving for insider info on the other in the past. Hardly the behaviour of a collaborator.
