The June-September period is peak Summer holiday travel season for the Northern Hemisphere, and for April although the US doesn't really do Easter holidays they have Spring Break around that time, so there is high demand for travel on both sides of the planet. Although I'm not sure if that high demand extends to flights in and out of Australia at that time.
