For business travellers based in Edmonton, Calgary, SK, and MB, Air Canada’s cuts are having a significant impact. As a loyal SE customer I am very disappointed in AC’s decisions (regardless of the reasons they claim) and I have been moving my business to WS. I am not going to sit here and wait for AC to eventually make their return. They made their decision and I have made mine.
I'm pretty sure they factored the risk of losing you (along with many others) in their 'Business Decision' and deemed that you were an acceptable casualty in the guns and butter evaluation of what routes to keep and what routes to cut.
I will agree with you on the fact that the DOM MLL at YVR has all the 'lounge ambience' of a Greyhound Bus Station, and if they are pushing more traffic through there it needs a major upgrade.
