With a software package from Handmark on the Treo (subscription based) you can view maps and movietimes, there are plenty of free websites that will let you do this on a P910.

As for already having a Sony laptop and camera; keep in mind that Sony doesn't really actively participate in the mobile phone development, having Sony equipment will not get you any extra satisfaction or support. The software on the P910 is made by Symbian, a totally different company.

of course, with a computer one can always use yahoopops, which allows pop download, but for a ppc, or other device, one would have to pay yahoo their 9.99-14.99 a year fee, in order to be able to download via pop account. But, it does work and is availalble.

gmail is also pop3 accessable of course for free.
