Alaska's page says they won't accept a passenger's bag until four hours before a flight, but I don't know if a separate international boarding pass will waive that period. It certainly wouldn't hurt to ask if they could check it as soon as you've gotten past immigration.

I thought there was a thread on the AS forum about the 4-hour limit but I can’t seem to find it. I seem to recall it’s not a system-imposed limit so you may have luck asking an agent - with just having arrived on a TATL being a very convincing reason for early bag check.
