Just keep in mind that QR's systems are quite trigger-happy when it comes to flagging misconnects. If your inbound is running late and breaches the MCT, even by a few minutes, there's a decent chance you'll be rebooked behind the scenes.
Were QR correct to offload us?
I just want to reiterate, as I posted a few posts upthread, that this was not my experience. It must be the case that, like every airline, QR has some sort of algorithm to decide when to assist passengers having a short connection, including in some circumstances, delaying the connection, and went to rebook the passengers on an alternative flight.
