Yeah, that would be a bad whups. Some of the people I know have other allergies.and during the pandemic, they pretty much made everything themselves until they couldn't handle it. Then once they started going out, they learned very quickly to be carrying allergy pills (and in one case, an injector). Sorry to hear about your experience.
Yes, I am lactose intolerant. Lactase pills can help but generally need to be co summed with the first bite.

I’d be more worried for someone with a serious food allergy, like peanuts.
