At KLIA and KLIA2 visitors from 10 countries can now use the automatic entry gates. You fill out an online MDAC 3 days in advance. On the first entry you report to the passport desk to confirm your ID and finger prints. Thereafter you can use the auto gates. I’m looking forward to trying it.

But yes! On my last couple of trips, the finger print readers at the passport desks were not used.
