LOL, that would certainly be the dream scenario for anyone crediting to AA, wouldn't it? Book with AA, knowing they require their code when available then change them all to codeshare on BA / AY/ IB / QR / QF codes for the big cabin bonus and mostly to avoid the revenue penalty. (well in theory AA cabin bonus is better than QF, but only if it credits as a special fare and AA refuses to give a definitive answer about when that does / does not trigger)

Unfortunately it's not possible if AA creates the ticket. But the other way around is in certain circumstances, usually when dealing with SWUs and within 24 hours of departure for irrops.
