I did EoA coming into DFW a while ago, interview was at one of the counters at the edge of the arrivals hall. Took all of five minutes, but then I never got the approval to clear. Went through LAX a month later, and was sent to a station by the baggage claim. Was the first to arrive, and agent said that somehow the original agent had processed things wrong. He asked lots of questions about my job, my travel patterns, etc, first for the GE and then for the APEC card approval. Took a good 30 minutes of questions from him, and a long line formed behind. He eventually approved things and got the website to update a few hours later. Got the cards a few days after that.
If the TTP website still shows the application status as "conditionally approved" several days after the enrollment interview, chances are that the interviewing CBP officer neglected to follow up on any background check, such as fingerprints verification, or click on the "approved" button.
