Looks like lots of cancelled flights tonight at EWR most RJ’s and others. Looks like most of the bad weather will be north of the airport. Why does this hub operation fall apart on a regular basis. Why not delay flights around weather and not cancel.
Other hub airports in particular PHL and DTW don’t do that far less cancellations.
Atc had fca up in the region limiting arrival rates to the region. The knock on effect is that these rates will cause a canx because there are only so many slots that are available.
