I was on a flight (LAS-ORD) that was diverted (to IND) last night because of the weather bearing down on ORD. As we approached, the pilot was given a flight path that took is right next to some awesome storm cells with classic anvil-shaped clouds towering above us. The atmosphere, other than the storm, was clear giving us a beautiful view from the starboard windows. As the sunlight faded, continual lightning became visible. The sight was incredible.
