Trip.com, Skyscanner, Ctrip, Wing On Travel (based in HK) are in the same group of companies. I once booked a ticket with them and later on realized the ticket was issued in Sweden and the cost of it was HKD14k while I was paying HKD15k to them. The airline official website was selling at HKD16k if issuing in HK. However, there had been hiccups before departure and it was nightmare to contact them to solve the issue. Luckily nothing happened at the end and the so-called 'risk of boarding denial with my ticket' was due to the incompetent CX customer service.
I had no idea they were all part of the same company. What's the advantage of one over another?
