I have a friend who has a corporate CDP for Avis and I'm renting a car from Avis. Can I use his CDP code and rent the car? He will also be on the contract as an additional driver? Is this allowed? Can there be any insurance issues? Note that I already have my personal non owners insurance for liability, and Chase Sapphire to cover collision damage.
Alternatively, if the above could be a problem. Can he be the primary driver and pay by his Chase Sapphire card for collison damage (and me added as an additional driver). As far as liability insurance goes, will my personal policy still protect me or will his auto insurance policy be affected in case something goes wrong.
