I wouldn't think twice about that long of a EWR layover. I just sat for 1.5 hours on the tarmac at arrival waiting for a gate (and this happens "frequently").

I originally was looking at YYZ/YTZ-YUL-ZRH and saw how bad the flights from YYZ/YTZ-YUL on AC were performing so trying my luck with UA and EWR instead.
I get globally there are more delays and issues in general.. Are delays/cancellations/lost baggage issues with EWR/UA at least much better than YYZ/AC?
Is ORD much better than EWR? Its an Aeroplan ticket and I've seen UA flights for ORD-ZRH come and disappear rather quickly so wasn't able to book it
After reading a few posts about IRROPS on UA at EWR... definitely will prepare some backup options as well
