E-Upgrades for Flight in Different Status Year
I'm generally savvy with the benefits after all these years, but I don't travel international much and haven't used eups this way before.
Looking to book a maldives adventure later this year for travel in fall 2024. I currently have enough eups to cover the trip if I can find an upgradable fare, but not sure what happens when those eups expire in the new year before they are either carried over by my VIP card or I get my new year allotment. Will my booking be impacted if I book the trip for Oct/Nov 2024 this November using Eups I already have on hand or do I need to wait until my 2024 benefits arrive? I'm a little worried I won't get the flights I want with upgrade availability if I were to wait. Would appreciate someone who can clarify for me and sorry if this does exist somewhere I couldn't find it.
