A family member purchased a JQ gift card with points. Activity quickly posted. But no idea if AirBNB the same.
If staying at AirBNB that can earn QF points. 2018 thread--->Airbnb booking through Qantas

Flying AA or AS can earn QF ff points.

If AU citizen/resident can be more options.
Look at Post 9 here for more suggestions-->Disaster - Just lost over500k points

You can find instructions online about how to do this outside of Australia. Although it's not necessarily supposed to work this way, I was able to download it simply by temporarily switching my VPN to Australia, which made it show up in the Google Play store. As I recall it took a couple of days of the app being up and running for it to be fully connected to my Qantas account, during which time I didn't think it was going to work after all. But one day the points started transferring and it's been working like clockwork since then. Highly recommended!
