Coast Big Sur

We ate here 3 years ago and again on this trip. It's a minimal tasty menu. They have several dips along with two breads and one set of crackers. You can choose 3 items for $18 or individually for $21. The best part is sitting on the top deck overlooking the ocean view. Their business has suffered with Highway 1 closed just a few miles to the south. We were told the highway is to reopen in 2 months.

Pocket was exceptional. The menu is fresh and imaginative. It has lots of interesting vegetable dishes, not very common. Scallops were superb. We made a booking on OpenTable, fortunate, as it was bustling. We'll go again next time we are in the area.
