Still need to pay for seat selection on partner airlines?

Why it is still called main cabin...
Which airline? BA?
BA Seat Selection Issues for AA Flyers - charges, seating, award, etc.

Fee, if any, for seat selection varies by airline, class or travel and/or status. Free seat selection is not a OW or partner benefit.
The OW benefit "Access to preferred or pre-reserved seating*- *In accordance with the individual policy of the oneworld airline operating the flight." is different for every airline. And in general not published.
