Wanted to give a big shoutout to everyone in thread & the other thread (Serious Problems with US Bank Gift Card Issues). I've bought the new repackaged V/MCGC without issues until I purchased a compromised card mid-May. Getting a replacement card issued has been a nightmare with the runaround from US Bank - but I finally received a new card. File a CFPB complaint (this also provides another data point to the CFPB on US Bank's scrupulous business practices & lack of fraud prevention and mitigation). As someone mentioned in this or the other thread, US Bank need to implement a way to block compromised cards from being purchased at POS. Maybe Kroger & US Bank have implemented this with cards not scanning at checkout.
