Thank you. My mother took JFK-BOM in April 2023 and commented it was the same old plane with a terrible business class cabin (777ER). I checked Air India's booking site and Flightradar24 today, and it appears JFK-BOM has finally been completely switched to the refurbished 777LRs from Delta. However, EWR-BOM which uses dilapidated 3-class 777ERs is still priced much higher. I guess this price discrepancy is just Air India doing its thing
With no end in sight to the Ukraine war, United's EWR-BOM with Polaris doesn't seem to be coming back any time soon. AI's JFK-BOM business class finally offers a decent option for business class travelers wanting a direct NYC-BOM flight.
