One thing that I was not anticipating was how many small children and screaming babies would be at breakfast in Bywater. It was unpleasant, even though the food was good. We were offered a la carte and buffet. We also ate dinner there and it was empty on a Sunday night. The food and drinks were excellent. Considering how new the hotel is, I feel like they are still figuring out what they are trying to be. All of the staff were extremely eager to help.
I always am amused by comments of people complaining about children and babies, like they were never little and just arrived at being a stuck up adult. Granted parenting styles are different worldwide but if you can’t handle that then probably best to stay home.
