One of your other questions, how to prove your status to use the business class check in. In many years of having status on one airline or another that allows business class check in on economy tickets, I've never been asked once to prove it. Sometimes there's a greeter to act as a gatekeeper, but just simply saying either business class or your status is sufficient, they don't ask for proof.
