There have not been any reliable reports here as to the specific details of AmEx “pop-up jail”. The pop-ups, other than highly obvious situations, seem to be almost completely random. My post immediately above yours has a couple of datapoints in that regard as does my
post # 205 (May 9, 2023) also on this thread.
