When I was there on Christmas Eve, the entire B/C area had only 4-5 agents and lines out the door. Pretty much all of the kiosks were tagged as "out of order". I did however, run into a bag handler trying to help people figure out what to do with their luggage. Kudos to him for being honest enough to tell me to chance a roll aboard and two boxes of gifts - if my flight went at all. Something about if the bag is gate checked, it'll at least make it on the plane.
Does anyone know if this is a permanent change? Seems like they're just trying to avoid a crush of people on the FC/Prefered linesand the ensuing problems from people who technically shouldn't use it, but have spent multiple hours in line.
