Doesn't the long haul (nrt-ewr and sin-sfo) already have 3 services? Lunch/ dinner , snack (dry cold turkey sandwich + m&m) , breakfast entree. So I'm thinking it's an 'enhancement' to the snack, aka dry warm lettuce sandwich instead
IAD-HND No idea what the snack was as I slept through it. Pretty sure they didn't even come around asking.
And TPE-SFO; didn't get/request the snack either.
I'd much rather have a quality meal though. These were definitely all subpar. I know other asian airlines used to do cup noodles in Y as a mid flight snack. Would make the whole plane smell wonderful lol.
