after meger, Marriott prevented Sheraton resorts from giving away club lounge access to elites. For years we went to Sheraton Hua Hin and got free coconuts, watermelon juice and ice tea throughout the day. They got rid of CL access for elites so we started going to Hyatt Regency Hua Hin instead because the CL offers great value/savings

After merger, Marriott limited LCs from offering CL access to elites, or at least that's what Prince Gallery in Tokyo told me so I stopped staying there. That said in BKK, PA still offers CL and SGS still offers great benefits. I am not sure if BKK properties just ignoring the directive or if there was no directive and properties just blamed HQ for cutting back on benefits

Normal Sheratons always had CL access for elites and we're a brand standard. But I've been told many CLs are shut still in US because of covid and simply not coming back so I'm not sure if there are brand standarstandard. I'm headed to us today for first time in 4 yrs and will report back if I see anything, though I'm not sure I'll stay at any Sheratons
