I did mind when I had checked in at 4:00 a.m. and a housekeeper barged into the room at 9:00 a.m. to yell "Just checking!"
One of my pet peeves is when a housekeeper tries turning the doorknob first, finds out it's locked, and THEN knocks on the door. This has happened to me on several occasions not just with hotel rooms, but public restrooms as well. Why knock AFTER you've already tried to barge in? If the door was unlocked or ajar, they would potentially be walking in on an awkward scene without any notice.
